Hearty Tempeh Chili

Follow these simple 2 step instructions:

STEP 1           Hearty Delectable Chili Ingredients

   3 tbsp peanut oil                2 tsp brown sugar   2 tbsp diced garlic

   1/2 cup diced onions            1/4 tsp cumin         1/4 tsp clove

   16 oz tempeh, crumbled        1 tsp fresh ginger    2 tbsp sliced chili peppers         2 cups diced tomatoes          2 tbsp soy sauce      1/2 tsp salt

   2 cups boiled kidney beans   1/2 cup water         2 tbsp scallions         

   1 tbsp julienned celery            1/2 tsp chili seeds                           

6-Quart Pot Needed. Knife, Cutting Board And Prepping Bowls Needed.

   

STEP 2           Cook Hearty Delectable Chili

  1. Sauté sugar, garlic, onions, cumin and clove in pot with oil for 5 minutes.

  2. Add crumble tempeh stir, chili and ginger and fry for 10 minutes.

  3. Add tomatoes, soy and chili seeds, stir well and simmer 10 minutes.

  4. Add beans and 1/2 cup water, stir and simmer 15 minutes on low heat.

  5. Add scallions and salt and simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.

Garnish with celery and chili seeds and enjoy with rice or garlic bread.

 

Best to use freshly boiled kidney beans. This traditional chili is easy to

prepare and packed with flavor for family & friends. Enjoy with rice
